Conor English

This site is to display the work of Conor English undergraduate MArch(hons), University of Dundee, Scotland.

At the school of architecture we are thought to explore all aspects of the built environment. Its relationship to people, place, sustainability and its immediate context.

I work in a variety of mediums to display my work at university. We are thought skills in Hand drawings, Auto Cad Drawings and exploring ideas through sketching, photoshop, 3D Studio Max and working with BIM Revit.

All students of Architecture are thought to think independently. I believe architecture is a personal, enjoyable, necessary experience. Every person perceives and appreciates space differently. Yet all through three interrelated attitudes, they all evoke a response from the physical, the emotional and the intellectual.

Whilst working on a project in college I am interested in the purity of a design and bringing that forward while considering sustainability. Finding a balance between technology and sustainable design. New technology computer systems vs a clear successful thought design that is itself sustainable architecture. Alternatively Conservation is a compelling study. Finding new uses for old buildings, changing the design fabric for new use is a dynamic challenge .
